California Restaurant Month During January

Maybe you have New Year’s resolutions like eating healthy or dining locally. Fortunately, January is California Restaurant Month! Meaning that all month-long, many areas throughout the state will offer special deals, such as affordable prix-fixe menus and considerably discounted meals.

We’ve compiled a list of restaurant promotions happening throughout the month featuring locations from north to south in the state. Discover new hotspots this month with special January deals!

Bay Area:

Oakland Restaurant Week: January 9-20

Celebrating the 10th anniversary with special events and delicious menus over two weekends. 

3rd Annual Concord Comfort Food Restaurant Week: January 17-26

30+ restaurants will offer special menus, prix-fixe menus or special offers. 

Vacaville Restaurant Week: January 17-26  

Specialty priced menus offered at local dining spots. 

Monterey’s “Get Hooked” Restaurant Week: January 20-27

A week-long celebration of locally and sustainably caught seafood, bringing awareness to Monterey Bay’s fishing community. 

7th Annual Berkeley Restaurant Week: January 21-31

Restaurants across Berkeley will offer prix-fixe menus for $25, $30 or $40.

San Francisco Restaurant Week: January 22-31

Nearly 130 restaurants offer a special prix-fixe menu to showcase their best dishes. Many menus feature a discount or special offer. 

Napa Valley Restaurant Week: January 26-February 1 

Guests can try the latest culinary hotspots through multi-course prix-fixe menus for lunch ($20 or $30) and dinner ($38 or $48).

Central Coast: 

SLO CAL Restaurant Month: January 1-31

Participating restaurants will offer special three-course prix-fixe menus between $30 and $40 per person. 

Los Angeles:

Santa Monica Restaurant Week: January 6-12

Participating restaurants will create delicious and healthy meals centered around this year’s special ingredient: the kumquat. 

Newport Beach Restaurant Week: January 13-26

A 14-day dining event featuring local eateries with special prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner, and brunch on the weekends. 

dineLA Restaurant Week: January 17 -31

A 15-day dining event showcasing culinary diversity. Lunch and dinner menus from some of the city’s best restaurants. 

Pasadena’s Cheeseburger Week: January 26-31

In honor of Lionel Sternberger, the inventor of the cheeseburger, restaurants will offer their signature burgers and compete for the best burger in a number of categories.

Sacramento:

15th Annual Dine Downtown Restaurant Week: January 10-20

Downtown Sacramento restaurants will offer a special three-course dining experience for $40. One dollar from each meal will be donated to social services and food literacy programs. 

San Diego:

San Diego Restaurant Week: January 19-26

Over an eight-day period, 180 restaurants will participate in the event. Restaurants across the county will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus between $20 and $60 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus ranging from $10 to $20 or $25 per person. Reservations are highly recommended due to popularity.

San Joaquin: 

11th Annual Stockton Restaurant Week: January 17-26

The event will feature two-course breakfasts and lunches, and three-or-more course dinner menus at a fixed price. 

Santa Barbara:

Santa Ynez Valley Restaurant Week: January 19-31

Restaurants and wineries are offering specials for $20.20. Restaurants will provide a three-course tasting menu and wineries will have special wines served with food pairings.
